Founded in 2008, we provide civil structural engineering servics in Canada. Currently focusing in Alberta and BC. We are specialized in solving complex technical puzzles. No matter the project is under design, construction or in use, our specialists can always provide professional and economical solutions in a timely manner.
We welcome more engineers and designers with good ethics and competent technical skills to join us. UTD is not only a good platform for working together and acomplish engineering work, it is also a good place for sharing technical knowleges and experiences.
Who We Are
More and more experienced staffs have joined UTD from multiple locations. We have given up the centralized offices since the pandemic. Working remotely is more efficient, more cost effective and more environmentally friendly. Fixed offices are only setup for project or client needs. This is a win-win future style for engineering.
Our senior staffs typically have 20+ years professional experience in civil, structural and forensic engineering. Our project experience ranges from small residential projects to multi-billion dollar industrial projects. We are technical experts in civil structural engineering.
Industrial Projects
With decades of industrial structures design experience, our team is familiar with every stage of oil, gas and mining projects, from study to front end engineering (FEED) to detailed engineering, from site errection, modularization to commisioning, from green field to brown field. Our construction support and site inspection experts can provide solutions to solve construction issues and other technical problems.
Our typical work scope includes structural engineering, civil earthwork, site grading, sewer, storm and more.
Commercial Buildings
We have abundant experience in designing concrete and steel highrise buildings as well as other smaller size commercial buildings such as shopping malls, resterauants and retail stores.
Currently we only focus on the engineering side, and do not have architects on board. However we do have close work relationships with other third party architects, who will be readily available when required.
Residential Buildings
We are familiar with residential building design i.e. footings, piles, foundation walls, wood framing, long span beams, tall walls, shear walls, etc. We provide stamped engineering drawings to assist building permit applications.
In addition to engineering design, we provide field services for building code assurance schedules sign off purposes, or failure investigations to assist insurance claims.
Design
We provide high quality engineering and design solutions. Our engineers are easy working with, and easy to coordinate with other disciplines, companies or vendors.
Support
We provide construction support services, such as shop drawings review/approval, in house telephone support or on site support.
